Cloth binding for ‘Milton’s Minor Poems’

Alfred Garth Jones; signed

1898

Light green cloth embellished with gilt and black overlays

9¼ x 7¾ inches

An early work by Jones in which he presents an elegant design in the manner of Art Nouveau. The geometrical treatment of natural forms typifies his style and stands in contrast to the curvilinear lines of others working in the idiom.
