Tomb of Guilio Salviati (d.1898). Brookwood Cemetery, Cemetery Pales, Brookwood, Woking, Surrey, Greater London. According to the British Listed Buildings site, Salviati, who committed suicide in his workshop, “came from a Venetian dynasty of glass-workers, and operated the Regent Street-based branch of the family firm, which was responsible for some of the mosaic work in St Paul's Cathedral, such as the figures of prophets in the spandrels of the dome. . . . Salviati mosaics were also incorporated within the nearby Drake family mausoleum.” [Click on images to enlarge them.]
According to the Salviati Architectural Mosaic Database, "The four sided, obelisk-like base contains the Salviati company's trademark enamel mosaics. It was erected to Giulio” by his widow Henriette."
