Jesus in the Carpenter's Shop, Christ with a Child, Suffer little Children, St James' Church, Weybridge, by William Wailes. This window was installed in 1848 in memory of S. S. Trins, who died in later childhood (see Forge and Pulford 11). The texts under each light are: "He was subject unto them" (Luke 2, 51); "Except ye be converted and become as little children / ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18, 3); and "He laid his hands upon them and blessed them" (Mark 10, 16). The tracery lights, and the lowest parts of the window, feature foliage and floral shapes.

Wailes had executed Pugin's designs in the early forties, up until 1845, and is said to have been influenced by him even long after his death (see Shepherd 31, 189). But his colours are brighter, the contrasts more striking (note the red, green and touch of yellow in Jesus's robes) and the general composition "prettier" — and there is something more naturalistic, less posed, about the children here, especially the loosely grouped ones in the last panel.
