Pulpit by Barkentin & Krall, designed by Walter Stoye, 1924-26, presented to Queen Alexandra to commemorate her eightieth birthday by King Edward VI's friend, Rodman Wanamaker: the solid silver panels, set on oak, have high relief figures, the central one of which, shown on the left above, features an elongated representation of Christ. The left-hand photograph shows the Wise Men at the Nativity over the Feeding of the Five Thousand (shown in close-up on the right). Angels and the four evangelists are also shown on the pulpit, and, if you know where to look, two silver angels can be seen praying at the foot of the steps (see Ashton 6).
