Woman's face and garland

The sculpture's architectural setting (over the corner entrance of the building at right) — a wonderful amalgam (or concatenation) of architectural styles that range from the Lyceum Theatre's neoclassical columns to the Northern-Renaissance revival (with a touch of Norman Shaw) on the 1903 building across the street. On the right in the distance one sees the brown brick that one finds on so many late-eighteenth- and early-nineteenth-century London buildings.
