Joan Z. Anderson teaches English at Saint Patrick's High School in Thunder Bay's Catholic school system. Her career began in 1989. After several years of being in front of the classroom, in 2003 she switched roles, becoming a student again by returning to university to attain her Honours degree in English at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Her love of literature and love of learning fuel her passion in the classroom, both an educator and a student. Her summers are spent enjoying her other passion--perennial gardening. She plans to attain her Masters degree in English sometime in the near future. However, for now, she returns to Saint Patrick's to continue her role as an educator. She completed her feminist treatment of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre while taking English 3412, "Victorian Fiction, 1840-1880," in her fourth and final undergraduate year.
