Born 1941. BA (Hons) History Cambridge 1962. Phd Sociology LSE 1975.

For most of my academic career I taught Sociology and Politics at the University of the South Bank London. I became interested in researching John Brett and the Pre-Raphaelites as a result of conversations with my step-aunt, Winifred Watson, who was the granddaughter of the artist (descended from his eldest daughter Daisy Brett). I have published a number of pieces on Brett in various journals, including The Burlington Magazine and the Journal of Pre-Raphaelite Studies.
