"Františec Kupka began to work on the cycle Path of Silence at the beginning of the twentieth century. In different versions fantastic idols and pagan fetishes dominated dusky night landscapes. [continued below]

On the sheet Path of Silence a solitary pilgrim stands on a path lined with endless rows of sphinxes. Every small step forward means another question.
