Melchizedec, one of the twelve Old Testament figures in the outer circle of the west window in St John the Baptist, Holland Road, Kensington. Percy Bacon Brothers, 1910. A lavishly costumed Melchizedec, with a golden goblet, represents the sacramental tradition: "And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God" (Genesis 14, v. 18). His other hand is raised in a gesture indicating teaching rather than blessing.

Whole window.
