Winter

Georgie Gaskin

Engraving by an unknown engraver

Source: Tuer, facing p. 76

The illustration for Winter shows an older, much more warmly dressed girl,in fur-trimmed hat, cape and gown, with one hand hidden in her muff, among winter-flowering plants. Her hornbook functions now as a dainty reticule. This is the fourth of Gaskin's four very attractive Arts and Crafts designs here, based on the seasons.
