Mourning Ring

Gold mourning ring inscribed Not lost but Gone Before. Rings bearing this phrase continued to be popular during the Victorian age. The phrase has been attributed to various ancient Greek and Latin authors, including Aristophanes, Cicero, Antiphanes, and Seneca.
