[Click on this image and those below to enlarge them.] Charles Magniac MP, who owned Chesterfield House, had Chesterfield Gardens built over the gardens of the larger house in what Bradley and Pevsner describe as an "Eclectic French Renaissance style, with plenty of loggias, canted windows and so on" (520).
